‘Bancone’ is the Italian for ‘counter’, the place at the heart of every great trattoria and cafe. Located downstairs at Luci and inspired by the grand cafes of Milan, our stunning 18-metre long marble ‘bancone’ counter showcases an incredible selection of delicious al forno baked goods, made fresh on the premises daily by our talented kitchen team.
Take a seat in our bright, high-ceilinged dining room to watch our chefs and baristas work their magic, or – for those in a rush – it’s the perfect place to pick up authentically Italian pastries, salads, sandwiches and pizza slices to go.
Morning Pastries
As is tradition, our menu changes to reflect the time of day. In the morning the air is rich with the smell of freshly baked bread, buttery pistachio croissants, viennoiserie and Luci’s own roasted coffee – perfect for the morning commute.
Gourmet Italian Lunch
As we move into the afternoon and evening, our ‘from the counter’ menu offers thin focaccia Genovese, delicious ciabatta and crisp, wood-fired Picante pizza by the slice.
Sweet Cakes and Italian Desserts
With a tempting selection of Milanese cakes, classic tiramisu and homemade gelati and sorbetti, those with a taste for the dulce are also fully catered for.
